Outside Time!

It was so nice this weekend, Mauren got to experience the "winter weather" for longer than a trip to the store!  It was about 50 degrees and Colby, our junior partner, was playing with the neighbor kids outside.  So, we all joined him!



Mauren went to the doctor today since she has woke up with a goopy eye the last two mornings and it seemed as though her cold had returned.  Dr. Lamb diagnosed her with pink eye, ear infection, cold and she had a slight fever.  So, she was out of daycare again today.  She still is happy and acting normal.  She even came up with a new sound today!   We came home with eye drops and an antibiotic for Mauren.  Dr. Lamb took one look at Erick and prescribed him eye drops too!

Starting Solids

Mauren ate cereal today for the first time!  She had been eyeing us when we would eat and grabbing for our plates, glasses and silverware.  We felt she was ready and she did GREAT!!

 We tried to attached a video of her first bites but are not sure exactly how to do it yet.   Hopefully we'll figure it out and update the post.

It's Sunday and we went to church.  Mauren had to wait patiently for Mommy & Daddy until it was her turn to get all dolled up.  She took it easy and watched some TV.

GO BEARS!!

It's football playoff season and the Field household (well...just Erick) is very excited that "Da Bears" are still alive!  Mauren went to church and told all those Bronco fans that "yes, I am wearing the right colors but we are still playing!"  Mauren received a blue onesie with a white, blue & orange tutu from Kristi, Darren & Nadia that is now too short!  So, she went to church in jeans.  She was still the cutest one there!!  (Of course Mommy & Daddy think so!)  She's growing so fast!! 

Mauren is already experiencing a downfall of daycare....germs.  She woke up on Saturday with a weepy left eye and a stuffy nose.  Today seems to be the worst so far.  We've got the humidifier cleaned up, been in the steamy shower lots and are thinking of leaving a cut onion next to her crib while she sleeps.  Daddy will have to put her to bed and get her up in the morning since Mommy can't stand onions!!   Maybe it will be a sick day on day 3 of daycare :(



First day of daycare :(

Yes, today was Mauren's first day at daycare.  Erick spent a few hours over two days at Gina's home to get Mauren acclimated and pass along Mauren's likes and eating tricks.   Mom & Dad dropped her off this morning and of course, Mom left in tears.  Mauren did GREAT!  Mom ~ not so good.  Here's some pics from another big day in Mauren's life.......

Mauren is 5 months!
