40/60 Celebration ~ Party time!!

The main reason we chose to visit Minnesota this summer, was to celebrate Mom's 60th Birthday & my parents 40th Anniversary on August 14th!  It was also a great way for Mauren to meet all her Minnesota relatives!  Here's some pics preparing for and celebrating.....

Here's some decorations from the party.  Mom saved their original wedding cake topper and for the most part it was in one piece!  Mom also made the centerpieces where many wedding pictures and pictures from the past were displayed.

The Wedding Party - 40 years later!

Thank you for attending Mom & Dad's celebration.  We cannot thank you enough for spending your day with us.  I know Mom & Dad appreciate you all.  It was great to see everyone ~ it's been way too long for some of you!  Thank you.

The next stop of the trip up north.....Ash River Trail~Orr, MN

 

After the birthday parties we spend the day at Mom & Dad's house gearing up for the next part of our vacation.  Of course that meant cooking food and more food for the cabin my parents rented at Sunset Lodge in Orr, Minnesota.  But first ~  we had to get outside and take a little ride on Dad's 4-wheeler.

Mauren's frist trip to the beach!  We just go to the pool in Colorado.  She had lots of fun playing in the sand!

 

We went exploring Ash River...this is what we saw!

What is Mauren doing now??

• Still not walking but very close.  Walks easily while holding on with one hand.
• Exploring new foods.  She doesn't like the chunky textures but loves grapes!
• Has 8 teeth.  Four on the bottom, four on the top.
• Favorite toys are books, books & more books. 
• Weighs 20 lbs 8 oz.  50th percentile
• Height is 31 inches 95th percentile ~  very tall and very thin!  Hope she's a lucky one and keeps it that way!
